With over 25 years of industry experience Teut Weidemann is one of the most experienced game producers in Germany. During the “home computer” time he worked as development director at Rainbow Arts and shipped over 50 products, among them classics like Turrican, MUDS, X-Out, Apprentice or Katakis.
After a short break at Apple Computers and Microsoft Games he produced Advertainment titles for Kelloggs, Kraft Jacobs Suchard and the German government.
In 1996 he founded his own development studio “Wings Simulations” which shipped in the following years the highly awarded Panzer Elite. He sold his studio to the public listed company Jowood AG in 2000. Until 2005 he shipped the online team based shooter “Söldner – Secret Wars” that featured for the first time a fully destructible environment in an online game.
After 2005 he was called into the board of CDV AG as CTO, one of the eldest publishers in Germany. During his time as CTO he was responsible for development, IT and marketing.
End of 2007 he become an independent consultant for online games and consulted various clients how to enter or optimize their online games efforts in development, operating and design of f2p games. Recently he was responsible for the Design of the successful f2p game „The Settlers Online“ for Ubisoft and worked on Assassins Creed Identity on Mobile.
Teut is known due to his polarising talks on various conferences in Germany, Asia and USA.
He will be speaking at the opening of the Global Game Jam 2017 at the Mediencampus in Dieburg (20.01.2017 15 h).
