VR Exploration Game
Animation & Game
Sail above the clouds and explore the world to
find a special key. Navigate your ship through
the sky and discover unexpected creatures in
this relaxing VR adventure.
Horizon Beyond is a VR game in which the
world has broken apart. Humanity lives
scattered on the remaining fragments above
the clouds and plants and animals have
adapted to the new environment. The player
explores the world on a wooden ship which he
can control freely. On his journey, the player
encounters a small mischievous creature
which is in possession of a key. The short
encounter leads to an adventurous chase with
different events throughout the journey.
There are three things that make Horizon
Beyond stand out from other games:
The distinct mix of guidance and exploration
lead the player while giving them the possibility
of discovering new areas. This is done with an
AI system to control the flying creature you
follow on your journey.
To achieve the various sound effects such as
the waterfall and the fishing rod, a special tool
called a spatializer was used to position the
sound on the headset to make you feel like
you’re inside the game.
Finally, there is the ship. VR pushes the
frontiers of immersion and Horizon Beyond
pushes the frontiers of freedom. The ship is
specifically designed to offer you complete 3D
movement options to navigate the world.
