In this game, the Player is the tree. The player has to plan his/her limited resources over the seasons so that a tree can grow safe and tall while Events of global warming bring more risk to the tree.
The game starts with some Energy on a yellow bar. This energy can be used to support selected treeparts. A yellow shimmer then signalizes the energy that is now used on the tree part. For the next 2 years the player can get used to those mechanics. The treeparts will grow in summer when the player gives them enough energy: Four clicks are needed, to let a treepart grow. When the treepart grows, the energy is reduced accordingly.
The energy bar is refilled at the end of summer due to photosynthesis.
At the same time, the player has to care on grow equally. If the tree isn’t balanced, for example: the root is too small, the tree will not get enough water and so the leaves become brown and dry. If the player doesn’t act here or continues falsely grow the tree, the tree will die.
Beginning with the third year, natural disasters mess with the player. Those disasters take away energy from the tree, and if there’s not enough, they can take the trees life. The player has to be careful what he gives energy too. For example, a storm takes energy from the root.
