Animation & Game
Day #2 at FMX Stuttgart. We’ve seen from where the creators of Zootopia got their inspiration and how incredibly detailed their research on animal’s habitats was. It might have not caught your eye but each inhabitant, each piece of architecture or environment of Zootopia is extremely well reasoned.
After a rushed lunch we arrived right in time for the making of Jungle Book. We’ve seen how much thoughts the directors of the film have put into the cinematograpy and staging of their scenes. They explained how they adopted the 1967 Jungle Book movie (yes it really is that old) and it’s appealing characters from Baghera over Shere Khan to Mowglie and Baloo. This movie really is an eye candy.
Lastly we’ve seen how gorgeous CG can be merged with life action footage in the making of the music video for The Chemical Brothers‘ „Wide Open“. Two guys from The Mill took us on a journey from the director’s very first (impossible challenging) ideas over the motion capturing and cleaning process to the final result.
After an incredibly exhausting day we’ve had a great time watching these people talk about their work and ideas.
We’re looking forward to tomorrow!
